Course Description
This course is a continuation of Advanced Accounting 1 which discuss many important aspect in bussiness combination. The course will address the practical financial reporting problems encountered in consolidated financial statements, goodwill, other intangible assets, and derivative securities. The course also includes coverage of foreign currency transactions and translations, partnerships, corporate liquidations and reorganizations. The focus on the complete equity method is maintained to allow students to focus on accounting concepts rather than bookkeeping techniques in learning the consolidation materials.

Course Objectives
After completion of the course, students are expected to:
• Understand the concept and theory of accounting related to the corporate joint venture, derivatives and foreign currency transaction, hedging, and translation and remeasurement.
• Apply and analyze the theory, principle, technique, and acconting prosedure in measure, recognize, and present the items of accounting transaction in financial statements.
• Understand financial accounting standard related to the topics in this course.
